Taylor was born and raised in New Martinsville, WV and graduated from West Virginia University with a B.S. in Business Administration. Taylor worked in claims before opening the doors to his own State Farm agency in 2016. He is a second generation State Farm agent, following in the footsteps of his mother, Lisa Shepherd.

Taylor is a board member of the Marshall County Housing Authority, and member of Lions Club, Rotary and UMAC. Taylor lives in Glen Dale, WV with his wonderful wife Kate, their sons Page and Adrian, and office dog Chili. In their free time, they travel, hike, walk Chili and explore everything Moundsville has to offer them! Taylor’s favorite thing about this community is small local business owners supporting each other!
